About Botanical Data Central

Botanical Data Central is a platform for the analysis of botanical compounds. It consists of the following sections:

• Computer Tool (FlavonQ-Data Analysis) for the data analysis of flavonoids for LC-HRMS/MSⁿ data (user uploadable);
• Database for plant search, compound search, and ion feature (m/z) search.

Profiling flavonoids in natural products poses great challenges due to the diversity of flavonoids, the lack of commercially available standards, and the complexity of food matrices. Data-mining of ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography diode array detection high-resolution accurate-mass mass spectrometry (UHPLC HRAM-MS) for the analysis of flavonoids is very daunting, labor-intensive, and expertise-dependent. FlavonQ is an automated data processing tool that transfers field-acquired expertise into flavonoid data analysis. Currently, it is capable of automatic data format conversion, peak detection, flavone and flavonol glycosides peaks extraction, flavone and flavonol glycosides identification, and semi-quantitation. It will be expanded to analyze all classes of flavonoids. The workflow of FlavonQ is shown below.
